Vietnam Silicon is looking for a visionary and strategic Head of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive the development of innovative, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building and mentoring high-performing teams.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Technology Leadership: Define and execute an engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s vision, product roadmap, and business objectives.  
  2. Team Management & Growth: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.  
  3. Delivery Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of software products and solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, robust, and meet quality standards.  
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, Operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of projects and effective prioritization of initiatives.  
  5. Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends, and drive the adoption of relevant innovations within the team.  
  6. Process Optimization: Implement and refine engineering processes, development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.), and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.  
  7. Mentorship: Support the growth and development of engineering leaders and team members through coaching, mentoring, and career coaching.
  8. Resource Planning: Plan and manage the engineering budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to support business needs effectively.


Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.  
  2. 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role managing large and distributed teams.  
  3. Proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact technology initiatives in fast-paced environments.  
  4. Strong technical background with expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and development practices.  
  5. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.  
  6. Experience building and scaling engineering organizations while fostering a positive and high-performance culture.  
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution priorities.
