Vietnam Silicon is seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Data & AI Innovation to lead our efforts in leveraging data and artificial intelligence to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage. This role will be responsible for shaping the data and AI strategy, building high-performing teams, and delivering impactful solutions across the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define and execute a comprehensive data and AI strategy aligned with digital transformation solutions.  
2. Lead the development of enterprise-wide data architecture, including big data platforms, data lakes, and AI/ML pipelines.  
3. Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, distributed data systems capable of handling high-volume, real-time data.  
4. Lead the development of Deep learning, machine learning and LLM, VLLM models for business problems as credit scoring (finance), crop yield prediction (agriculture), and route optimization (logistics), ...  
5. Ensure AI solutions are explainable, ethical, and aligned with regulatory standards.  
6. Build and manage high-performing teams of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts.  
7. Lead R&D team (including PHD, Principal, Senior Scientists) to release scientist papers, work with Well-known university in Singapore, Vietnam, Thai to doing research, collect data, getting deep insight from Professors/experts.  
8. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.  
9. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored data/AI solutions.  
10. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, local data laws).  
11. Set KPI/OKR for data engineer/ data scientist/ data analyst teams to release outstanding technologies and products over milestones

Requirements

1. PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field (Master’s with exceptional experience considered).
2. 12+ years of experience in Data and AI roles, with at least 3 years in the same level or higher position (Head of Data or Chief Data Analytics Officer)
3. Experienced with building data platforms (lake house), AI application in production, support to Hundred Million of users
4. Build and implement product roadmap, strategic plan, business plan, full cycle of AI/Data products.  
5. Resource planning, cost estimation for products, data team
6. Experienced in building data architecture, data lakes, data warehousing, and real-time data processing.
7. Experienced managing Data Scientist team, Data Engineer team, Data Analyst team with at least 100 members
8. Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks), machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and MLOps practices.
9. Experienced with data governance, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local laws), and best security practices.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead and scale cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, and analysts.

12. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
