We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Data Scientist with solid expertise in embedding technologies, deep learning, data analytics, and model deployment. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of AI solutions, collaborate with senior team members, and support the delivery of high-quality AI projects for clients across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement search systems using embeddings, hybrid search, and reranking techniques under guidance.
2. Build and fine-tune deep learning models, applying custom loss functions for specific use cases with support from senior team members.
3. Assist in creating and managing datasets for model training and evaluation.
4. Support the deployment and optimization of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) in production environments.
5. Build interactive dashboards using Streamlit, Power BI, or Superset to visualize model performance and business insights.
6. Conduct model performance evaluations using established metrics and testing methodologies.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
8. Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and support Vietnam Silicon’s AI initiatives in the region.
9. Other tasks assigned by the Company or Line Manager

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
2. Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
3. 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or applied AI research.
4. Experience with embedding technologies, vector search, and reranking systems.
5. Familiarity with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and leveraging open-source resources or research papers.
6. Ability to implement deep learning architectures and apply custom loss functions with guidance.
7. Experience in dataset creation and management for AI applications.
8. Familiarity with deploying and optimizing LLMs or VLMs in production environments.
9. Experience building interactive dashboards with Streamlit or similar tools.
10. Strong Python skills and proficiency with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
11. Good problem-solving and communication skills.
12. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Prefer

1. Experience with GPU-based AI training environments.
2. Familiarity with fine-tuning large language models for specific applications.
3. Knowledge of Southeast Asian languages or regional business contexts.
4. Contributions to open-source ML/AI projects.
5. Exposure to implementing AI solutions in enterprise settings.
6. Familiarity with MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring.
